A powerful start saw an early goal for LMHC, a cross from Donna Hurd was slotted neatly past the goalkeeper at the back post by Izzy Ritson in her first start for the first team. LMHC continued to attack and some excellent early play meant LMHC were constantly putting the Rossall defence under pressure.

It was only a matter of time, a tactical defensive switch by defenders Winder and Patterson released Yasmin Dodd down the left wing who slapped the ball inside to on coming Emma McElwee who demonstrated her attacking speed beating the final two Rossall defenders to slot the ball into the corner of the goal.

A short corner gave Christiane Rogerson the opportunity to convert another goal with a straight strike.

Despite a 3-0 lead Rossall should not be undermined, their quick attacking pace and skill was a constant threat. Central midfielder Julia Knowles kept the oncoming attackers at bay however Rossall still managed to convert two goals on the break.

Emma McElwee added another goal to her tally before the half along with Yasmin Dodd getting on the score sheet with a deflection at the front post putting the ball past the Rossall keeper. A great first half with an admirable score of 5-2 portraying just how exciting the game was.

The second half saw a fast paced game, LMHC continued to press Rossall and cause havoc attacking making it difficult for Rossall to defend.

A saved shot from Rogerson’s strike saw Donna Hurd picking up the loose ball, sweeping it into the net to put the score at 6-2 and out of reach of Rossall.
